After breakfast, sightseeing tour of the city of Yerevan - Opera House, Republic Square, stop near the Cascade. Then an excursion to the Yerevan Cognac, Wine and Vodka Factory “Noy” with a tasting. Tasting package includes an informative tour along the factory territory, collection wine from 1944 and 5, 10 years old brandy tasting with the sweets (fruits, chocolate). Then we continue our tour to Voskevaz Winery, which is located in Aragatsotn region of Armenia. Voskevaz- in Armenian means is "golden vine." Voskevaz Winery was established in 1932. All of our wines, without exception, reflect the true nature of Armenia. The wines are produced only from local grape varieties and for wine aging are used rare high-quality Armenian oak barrels. We are here to drink the wine, of course. But we are here to reveal the soul, history and song of Armenia. During the tour, we will have a tasting of 3 types of wines, a tour of wine cellars, a factory, we will get to know the technologies and features of wine making. Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to Ararat valley. Tour of Khor Virap monastery (XVII. The monastery is located in front of the Biblical Mount Ararat (5165m.). From the walls of the monastery you can discover panoramic views of the majestic mountain. Later on, a trip to Areni village situated on the banks of the river Arpa. Vayots Dzor and Areni in particular has been the cradle of Armenian winemaking for millennia. At the entrance to the village, near the road, there is a private winery Hin Areni you can visit it to observe wine production process and to taste it. After drive to Voskeni winery. Voskeni Wines located at Sardarapat, Ararat valley is a family owned and managed winery. Vineyard was founded by our family forefather Smbat Mateossian, a successful businessman from Boston, who moved to Armenia in the early 1920- es. During the tour you can test 3 types of wine and have lunch. Then return to Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan.
Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to the ruins of one of the most famous temples in Armenia, Zvartnots (7c.). Zvartnots is the magnificent temple in which, the architectural culture and building art developed centuries before them, were brought together, where the genius Armenian architects were able to manifest all the grandeur of their ideas. The construction of the temple commenced in 641- 643 and lasted until 652 AD. The "temple of ruins" is listed as a UNESCO heritage site. Our excursion continues to the Karas Winery. Karas, the winery name, means ‘amphora’ in Armenian, a sacred wine-making clay vessel used here for 6,000 years. That, combined with Armenia’s ancient oenological culture, inspires us to chart the future of the birthplace of wine while reclaiming the mantle as a producer of the world’s most desired wines. After the tour and tasting, we head to another winery – Jaghatspanyan. Jraghatspanyan wines are created from a combination of sunny grape, traditional processing methods and inherited traditions. The combination of grapes harvested in the traditional atmosphere of songs and dances, passionate processing, detailed control of the fermentation process and harmonious maturation, every drop of Jragatspanyan wine is born. After the wine tasting and tour, lunch with delicious home-made desserts. Then return to Yerevan. Overnight.
