We invite you to familiarize yourself with the history of cognac production in Armenia, learn about the stages of making Armenian cognac, and also enjoy the beauty, unique aroma and taste of various varieties of ARARAT cognacs from the primary source. Later tour to Garni and Geghard. On the way, stop at the "Arch of Charents", where you can get a splendid view of the Biblical Ararat valley. Trip to the cave monastery Geghard (5-13cc.), the tomb of the princes Proshyan. The monastery consists of a large overhead temple and three churches hewn in solid rock. There are hundreds of natural and artificial caves in the vicinity. The Holy Spear that had pierced Christ's body on the cross has been kept in the church. Now the Holy Spear (Geghard - Spear) is being kept in Echmiadzin Museum. The trip continues to the pagan temple of Hellenistic type, Garni (77 AD), tour of "Temple of the Sun" and the ancient royal bath, the only Hellenistic temple preserved up to now in the region. Yerevan– Garni Temple – Gegard monastery - Yerevan

Tour starts at 09:00am. Duration 9 hours. Distance: 260 km Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to Ararat valley. Tour of Khor Virap monastery (XVII), the translation from Armenian is "deep hole", into which the future first Catholics of the Armenian Apostolic Church, St. Gregory the Illuminator, had been abandoned for many years. Yerevan- Khor Virap - Noravank - Areni (winery) - Yerevan

Transfer to Tbilisi: Yerevan- Lake Sevan - Monastery on the peninsula - Resort Dilijan –Tbilisi

We will visit the ancient capital of Georgia Mtskheta, situated at the confluence of the Aragvi and the Mtkvari rivers; Mtskheta is the site of the first Christian churches in Georgia. We visit Jvari Monastery (6th century), located at the top of the hill. This is the place where the missionary St Nino erected a cross (“jvari” in Georgian) in the 4th century to mark the coming of Christianity to Georgia. We visit 11th century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, used for centuries for the coronation and burial of Georgian monarchs. Most importantly, it is considered one of the holiest places in Georgia, since the Robe of Christ is buried here. Svethitskoveli is one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Georgia, with exquisite carvings and frescoes. Both Svetitskhoveli and Djvari are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will visit: • Urban areas of Mtskheta (UNESCO) • Cathedral of Svetitskhoveli (live-giving pillar) • Jvary monastery church (VI century). Lunch at a local venue in Mtskheta. Drive back to Tbilisi. Old Tbilisi City Tour and Mtskheta
